Hello! Known as Island Dan, I enjoy my work as a Foreman, helping my colleagues diagnose very difficult-to-fix vehicles. Leading a team that repairs and returns newly fixed cars to relieved customers is the best part of this job. After 18 years in this industry, I’ve earned a reputation as a professional who is honest and empathetic—no matter the situation. Born and raised on the Caribbean Island of St. Lucia, I moved to the U.S. thirteen years ago. I sailed professionally for over a decade and taught sailing to young kids at a local yacht club before moving. After arriving in Nebraska, I earned an associate degree in Automotive Technology from Metropolitan College and a BS in Business Administration with a minor in Marketing from Bellevue University. My automotive industry experience includes work with Chrysler, Mercedes-Benz and now Kia. And since entering the space, I’ve won several awards for Auto Repair. When I’m not working, I enjoy soccer, sand volleyball, cricket and watching football with friends. I’m a fan of electronic dance music and travel to music festivals when possible. I give back through Habitat for Humanity because I believe in their mission to help people who ordinarily couldn’t afford homes, find shelter.
